Join The Choir
Our membership has been drawn from all over the Puget Sound region, and continues to grow. We warmly welcome prospective new singers with varied musical and cultural backgrounds twice yearly for the first four weeks of each concert season (during September and January).
Members are asked to be conscientious of attendance. If you and your family have planned an extended vacation in the middle of a season, please take the season off! Folks should be able to enjoy their vacations without worrying about playing catch up at rehearsals.
Rehearsals are most Tuesday's from 7 to 9 pm.
-
No audition necessary! Just show up and sit in the section of your choice
-
Membership dues are $50 per season ($100 per year)
-
We also provide financial assistance to those who are struggling. Money should never be what hinders folks from being able to experience music!
We rehearse at:
Calvary Presbyterian Church
1725 Porter Street, Enumclaw, WA 98022
About Us
We have been a community choir in the cascade foothills since 1976, over 50 years! The Cascade Foothills Chorale is a community choir (16 and up) which began as a group of community members, gathering to make music together at the 1976 Bi-Centennial celebration in Enumclaw. The group began as BECCO (Buckley, Enumclaw Community Choral Organization) and was later called Northwest ECCO (Enumclaw Community Choral Organization) before taking on the title of Cascade Foothills Chorale or CFC.
The choir continues a strong sense of tradition and community. CFC performs concerts semi-annually in spring and winter and enjoys bringing music to our listeners by giving additional performances throughout our community.

Activities Beyond Shows

Saar's Veterans Memorial
Every November, members of CFC join community members at Saar's Pioneer Cemetery to honor Civil War Veterans buried there with song.
Named for former King County Councilman Peter Saar, this 135 year old cemetery houses the remains of many locals' ancestors. The first resident, being Peter Saar's wife, who in 1873 was buried here when there was no other plot to lay her to rest. Between that cold October morning and 1949, the first cemetery of the White River Valley honors approximately 141 people, including the 5 veterans we celebrate annually.
Located just off of South 212th St in Kent, this grassy knoll sits at the edge of a WinCo parking lot off of the 167 exit.
This year's ceremony date and time is TBD.

Caroling at Retirement Homes
One of our favorite activities is caroling or holding rehearsals at local retirement homes. If you would like to request caroling in the Fall or some ambient music in the spring, contact us on Facebook or by Email and we can make a day of it!

Enumclaw Tree Lighting Ceremony
Each year we sing carols at the annual tree lighting for the city of Enumclaw. We are proud participants, and love to see all the families gathered to celebrate.

Everyone is encouraged to support the good of the organization by helping with the non-singing tasks. We have much support from community members who like to help out in more behind the scenes ways. Some of these opportunities include, but are not limited to, the following:
